The Empowering Educators Symposium brings together educators from across all Busy Bees Malaysia centres to learn, connect and be inspired — through an inspiring keynote address, practical hands-on learning studios, and an Innovation Showcase highlighting exemplary practices from selected centres.

Datuk Dr. Chiam Heng Keng, formerly Professor of Social Psychology at the University of Malaya, is a nationally and internationally recognized authority on early childhood care and education (ECCE) in Malaysia.

The Importance of Code of Ethics in Early Childhood: Upholding Children's Wellbeing and Professional Practice.

Datuk Dr. Chiam Heng Keng, formerly Professor of Social Psychology at the University of Malaya, is a nationally and internationally recognized authority on early childhood care and education (ECCE) in Malaysia. A pioneer in the field, she founded Malaysia’s first Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes in Early Childhood Education at the University of Malaya, the ECCE Council Malaysia, and the Association of Early Childhood Educators Malaysia (MAPECE).

She has played a key role in shaping ECCE professional standards and policy, and her research spans child development, juvenile justice, education and human rights. She served five terms as a SUHAKAM Human Rights Commissioner and was Malaysia’s first representative to the ASEAN Commission on the Promotion and Protection of the Rights of Women and Children (ACWC). Among her many accolades, she received the Juvenile Justice Without Borders International Award 2016.

No. The symposium is complimentary for all Busy Bees Malaysia teachers and educators, and lunch is included.

No. Each participant may register only once using your BB Corporate email.

Yes. The programme includes three Learning Workshops, and every participant will attend one workshop during each session.

No. Each workshop is repeated three times to allow participants to attend three different workshops. Once you have selected a workshop for one session, the same workshop cannot be selected again in another session.

Workshop selection is based on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to availability.
